Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) is requiring immediately a group of young Indian Nationals to appoint them on to post of Constable Driver. Therefore, it has published a vacancy notification and invited applications accordingly from eligible Male candidates. Candidates completed 10th and their  age are in range of 18-28 years are liable for Constable Driver jobs of SSB. All such candidates may pose their challenge against 824 vacancies of Constable Driver through sending their applications latest by 01st August 2012. Vacancy Details of Constable (Drive) of SSB
Post Name: – Constable (Driver)
No. of Vacancies: – 824  (UR-311, SC-241, ST-72, OBC-118, Ex-servicemen-82)
Age Limit: – Candidates age should be fallen between 18-28 years mark; while age would be reckoned as on 01.08.2012.
Age Relaxation: – Limit of upper age would be lifted by 03 years & 05 years for OBC & SC/ST candidates respectively. Govt. employee are liable to claim for 10 years of relaxation and domicile of J&K (during trouble time), Victim of 1984 riots may claim for 05 years of upper age relaxation.
Educational Qualification: – Should have passed 10th or equivalent exam also possessing licence of Heavy Vehicle Driving.
Scale of Pay: – Rs. 5200-20200/- with Grade pay Rs. 2000/-
Physical Standard: – Height of candidates should not less than 170 cm except candidates of ST/ Tribal / Adivasi category and resident of Hilly areas. Benefit of 05 cm height concession will be given to resident of Hilly areas and 2.5 cm for ST / Tribal / Mizos and Nagas.
Candidates unexpanded chest should be 80 cm while 05 cm of minimum extension is required. 05 cm relaxation in measurement of chest should also be applicable for ST/Tribal / Mizo / Adivasi.
Medical Standard: - Minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of two eyes without correction.
Selection Process: – The method of selection consists following successive stages as Documentation, Physical Standard Test, Physical Efficiency Test, Written Test, Trade Test & Medical Exam.
Application Fee: – Bank Draft / IPO of Rs. 50/- to be attached by candidates as application fee. DD or IPO should be drawn in favour of ‘Accounts Officer, FTR Hdqrs. SSB Guwahati’.
Fee Exemption: – Candidates of SC/ST and Ex-servicemen are exempted from paying any application fee.
How to apply: – Candidates eligible have to send their applications on prescribed along with attested copy of all important certificates as Educational Qualification, Age Proof, Caste, HVL & Domicile. 2 self addressed envelopes with stamp Rs. 25/- (affixed), requisite amount of application fee are needed to attach with duly filled applications. Own photographs of candidates are required to affixed on allotted space of application.

Recruitment in SSB for SI Pioneer & Head Constable Electrician / Workshop Vacancies
 Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has published a vacancy notification to fillPioneer & Technical Cadre positions by eligible Indian Nationals. Regarding this, applications are being invited from both Male & Female jobs aspirant till 31st August 2012. Under the tag of Pioneer 32 SI to be recruited and 212 Head Constable (HC) will be appointed under Technical cadre (Electrician & Workshop. Candidates not older than 30 years possess Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering are liable for Pioneer positions; while 10th passed also completed Diploma candidates may pose their challenges for Electrician / Workshop trade. 1. Sub Inspector (Pioneer)

Limitation of Age: – Age of applicants should be fallen 18-25 years of range as on 31/08/2012
Educational Qualification: – 10th passed with diploma in Electric trade
Experience: – 02 years of working in respective trade
Scale of Pay: – Rs. 52100-20200/- plus Grade Pay Rs. 2400/-
3. Head Constable (Workshop)
No. of Vacancies: – 184 (UR-88, OBC-40, SC-25, ST-13)
Age: - Minimum 18 years, Maximum 25 years as on 31st August 2012
Qualification: – Should have passed Matriculation with completed Diploma in Automobile or Motor Mechanical Engineering
Pay Scale: – Rs. 52100-20200/- with Grade Pay Rs. 2400/-
Physical Standard: – Height of applicants, if applying for Pioneer & Workshop positions, should not be less than 170 cm & their unexpanded chest should be 80 cm. Applicants of Electrician trade should be not less tall than 167.5 cm and their chest should be 78 cm without 05 cm expansion.
Relaxation in measurement will be applicable for Female & ST, Resident of Hilly areas candidates.
Process of Selection: – Selection process beings with Document verification followed by successive stages of Physical Standard Test, PET, Written Exam, Trade Test, Interview and Medical Examination.
