AFCAT 2012 Notification / Air Force Common Admission Test

Right now, an opportunity to join Indian Air Force as Commissioned Officer in branch like Flying, Technical & Ground Duty is knocking the door of eligible Indian Nationals of Male community. As you know well entry under these branch would be done simple through Common Admission Test called AFCAT. This year registration for Air Force Common Admission Test / AFCAT is about to start. Regarding it, applications through both Online or Offline mode are invited from eligible Indians latest by 09th July 2012. Candidates looking to participate in Admission Test may check out their eligibility first and after then follow the given time frame for sending their applications. Details of AFCAT 2012 Notification
Courses Offered:-
Air Force Common Admission Test / AFCAT Notification 2012 Indian Air Force one of the strongest warfare in the world protects India's Arial boundary
1. 12th Short Service Commission Course in Flying Branch
2. 83 Aeronautical Engineers Course in Technical Branch
3. 55 Short Service Commission Course in Technical Branch
4. 134 Ground Duty Officers Course in Ground Duty Branch
5. 27 Short Service Commission Course in Ground Duty Branch
Eligibility Conditions:-
For Flying Branch: – 12th SSC Course
Age Limit: – Candidates should be from 19-23 years of age group; means born between 02nd July 1990 to 01st July 1994.
Educational Qualification: – Graduate in any discipline with at least 60% marks in aggregate and also passed 12th with Math and Physics.
Physical Standard: – Height of candidates should not be less than 162.5 cm with correlated weight. Their minimum vision should 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in other.
For Technical Branch: – 83 AEC / 55 SSC Course
Age Limit: - Candidates age should be fallen between 18-28 years; means they should be born between 02nd July 1985 to 01st July 1995.
Educational Qualification: – Candidates should have completed 4 years degree qualification in Aeronautical Engineering or having Graduate membership of Institution of Engineers or Aeronautical Society.
Physical Standard:- Height of candidates should not less than 157.5 cm with correlated weight. Other medical standard would be evaluated by Air Force Medical Authority accordingly requirements.
For Ground Duty Branches:- 134 GDOC / 27 SSC Course
Age Limit:- Age of candidates would be varied accordingly their educational qualification. Candidates possessing Graduate degree should be between 20-23 years of age. Those possessing LLB limit of upper age would be extended for 25 years. Simultaneously 01 more extension will be applicable for those possessing LLB and M.Ed / CA /ICWA / Ph.D.
Educational Qualification: – Bachelor Degree with at least 60% aggregate marks in either branches or Higher qualification as per branches required.
Physical Standard: - Applicants should not be less than 157.5 cm in height and their weight should correlated with height.
Selection Process: – The process of selection consists Written Test called AFCAT & Multi Level Interview. Candidates declare selected in AFCAT to be conducted on 26th August 2012 will be called only for present before Air Force Selection Board for further level of selection exercise.
How to apply: – Candidates eligible may choose either of Online or Offline mode to send their applications. If they choose Online mode then they have to follow career page of Indian Air Force and follow the instruction to apply. However, the same exercise might be done easily through below link. Candidates are suggested to keep ready their colour passport size photo with size 10 to 250 KB in system to insert in to online page. Also ensured about their active e-mail ID.
Those choosing Offline mode to send their applications have to use prescribed format. All information putted in applications should be true and best in knowledge of candidates.
