Under the belt of following trades all 1524 Constable vacancies are laid: – Cook-490, Washer Man-367, Barber-38, Safaiwala-262, Water Carrier-211, Waiter-42, Carpenter-27, Painter-23, Tailor-19, Cobbler-37, Gardener-08
Limitation of Age: – (as on 09th August 2012) Candidates between 18-23 years of age group are liable to apply.
Age Relaxation: – Level of upper age would be extended up to 03 years & 05 years for OBC & SC/ST candidates. 05 years of age relaxation will also be granted to dependent of 1984 & 2002 communal riots, resident of turbulent area of J& K state. Upper age relaxation benefit will also be applicable for serving govt. employees.
Scale of Pay: – Rs. 5200-20200/- with Grade pay Rs. 2000/- per month
Essential Qualification: –  10th passed or equivalent from recognized board with 02 years of working experience in concern trade.
or 10th Passed with 01 year certificate course in shown trade from recognised Industrial Training Institute.
Physical Standard: - Candidates should not have lesser height than 167.5 cm and their minimum chest (without 05 cm extension) should be 78 cm. Contenders of Hilly Areas & North East areas may call for 2.5 cm concession in height measurement. ST candidates are liable for getting 05 cm height concession.
Process of Selection: – The process of Selection consists following successive stages as Documentation, Physical Standard Test, Physical Efficiency Test, Written Test, Technical / Trade Test, Medical Exam & Review Medical Exam. Selection will be made after completing each mandatory steps simultaneously.
Application Fee: – Rs. 50/- in shape of DD or IPO should be enclosed with application as fee. DD is required to draw in the favour of ‘Accounts Officer, FTR HQ, SSB, Patna Bihar’ payable at SBI Patna 0152.
Fee Exemption: – SC/ST and Ex-servicemen are exempted for paying any application fee.
Enclosures: - Attested copy of certificates showing Age, Educational Ability, Caste & Domicile, DD / IPO, Self Addressed envelope with Rs. 25/ stamp.  .
